Maybe it's time for us to read the Bible more because it’s the only thing that can give us hope. When your faith is shaken, take hold of the written word of God as your anchor. When the storms of life tear into your sails take hold of the promises of God. You can't break God's promises by leaning on them!

Why should you read the Bible? The most important reason why is because it's a love letter from your heavenly Father. God could have sent it on a single page rather He chose to use 66 books to tell you this one thing, “I love you! I am madly in love with you!” Unfortunately, many read the Bible and don't see that. They interpret it to mean something that was never intended. Let’s look at a series of passages where we find the disciples misinterpreting what Jesus wanted them to do.

Many times we rush through life wanting to finish whatever is before us, whether it's completing a task or doing an errand. However, in our rush we forget to follow the manual or to do things properly. The Bible is the manual of life; however, we don't read the manual as often enough. Perhaps because we believe it doesn't benefit us and we have experience to guide us through life.
